Tobi Henney is a makeup and hair stylist based in Sydney, Australia, whose work has been featured in various magazines as well as TV and advertising. You’ve probably seen her work on Australia’s Next Top Model , Celebrity Apprentice or Mercedez Benz Fashion Week to name just a few venues where the models were lucky enough to have Tobi highlight their beauty with her masterful touch.
Tobi is nothing short of a genius when it comes to applying makeup, but it’s her overall knowledge of products and materials, which sets her apart from all the rest. She’s current, and always up-to-date with the latest trends, and happy to share her knowledge with everyone.
Her makeup kit is the first secret to her success, and hopefully we can learn a little bit about what type of products are necessary in order to achieve some of Tobi’s famous makeups.

One of my favourite looks to create is the bronzed, dewy skin look. It can easily be achieved by using the products and tips below.
Begin by hydrating the skin by spraying MAC Fix + over the entire face and buff in with a MAC 188 duo fibre optic brush. It is so important to prep the skin thoroughly to create beautiful skin for any makeup look.
Moisturise skin using Dermalogica Active Moist. Take your time to massage the product thoroughly into the skin. This will allow the foundation to glide on smoothly.
Prime the skin using Laura Mercier Radiance Primer. It gives the skin a beautiful inner glow, which will enhance the final look after you apply foundation.
For a dewy beauty look, it is key to choose the right foundation. One of my favourites for this look is Harlotte Afterglow Foundation. It is long lasting and has a beautiful dewy finish with buildable coverage.
Conceal under the eyes and brighten using Laura Mercier Secret Camouflague Concealer and YSL Touche Eclat. Apply concelaer directly under your eyes and pat in using your finger to warm up the product. Apply the Touche Eclat slightly below the concealer to brighten the entire under eye area.
Contour and highlight using Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate Palette. Use the brown shade to chisel the cheek bones, jawline, nose and temples. Apply the white highlighter to the tops of cheek bones, cupids bow, centre of the nose, inner eye and brow bone. Using a cream based product to contour and highlight will allow your skin to look more luminous in the light.
Use Armani Eye Tints in your selected brown or neutral shade across the eyelid to create a subtle shadow and blend out the edges to ensure there are no harsh lines.
To complete the look, add Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Luxe Colour in shade Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds for beautiful glossy lips.
